lol it don't really matter i think :s ... many girls have approached guys asking them to go on a date with them, same as those guys would do with asking girls whether they would like to go on a date with them...

its just a question.. like "yo u wanna go on a date with me or what?!" and you get ur answer and see what to do next

Personal Answer: If im good mates with a girl and i thought that the feelings are mutual then i might be the one that will ask the girl "you wanna check me or what?!".. lol i wouldn't sit there hoping for that girl to ask me that question, coz it might not happen or she might be a shy 1!!

I think it depends on whether you like the other person or not more than whether who asks who out ... Obviously it is an excellent feel good factor when you are asked out by someone however if you really like the person and you think they might like you then why waste time beating around the bush and waiting for that person to ask you out initially ... ?

I am not saying just dive in without thinking about it, chose your time and place selectively and remember the saying - 'good things come to those who wait' ...

However in my opinion I think with it being 2005 and women wanting equal equality there is no harm in being asked out by a woman. Personally however I am slightly old fashioned to an extent (not totally mind you let me add!) and prefer to go through the courting and flirtatious stages before I make the move and actually ask the woman out on a date as such ...

However I would be flattered if i was asked out by someone regardless ... LOL!

i dnt fink it matters. i rekon it can b done both ways. i mean especially wen a guy really lyks a gal he'l b hesitant 2 ask her out incase of rejection. so in situations lyk dat he guna b realli relieved if dat gal askd him out. neways its also flatterin if a gal asks a guy out, makes him feel special n dat. u knw its a gud feelin. das y i rekon ye its ok 4 gals 2 ask guys out.

id not hav had any past relationships.. even flings if i hadnt made the first move...

im not shy, however im afraid of makin myself vulnerable.. but sumtimes u jus no... i dont ask ppl out if i dont c a chance..

the exception is my last ex.. who first i askd.. he sed no cos mutua l friends.. then he askd wk later i sed ye
