deeper sound

Hi all,
I bought a Nagi dhol about a year ago, and at the time the dagga side sounded a bit too high. I figured the sound would become deeper as I played more and the skin loosened up. However, the dagga side still sounds too high so any tips on how to make it sound deeper?? Thanks in advance!

maybe the skins not the right one for ur dhol... making a skin 'deeper' is quite hard unless u reattach the skin from scratch or u retune the shape of the dhol.. ermmm if uve tried playing it ... hmmm i duno, play it with bass loose for a while or try loosen off the ropes if its too tight?

maybe add some heat to it. thatll cause it to expand adn become loose but be carefull thoo dont wanna make it too loose or too dry either.

I haven't tried anything yet, but the thing is if I loosen the ropes up then the bass side will sound flat, and when i tighten it up it sounds high.

try adding vaseline and pure mustard oil to the skin (not at the same time, separately). work it in until the skin has absorbed it. this makes it seem as if the skin is having layers added to it, theoretically making it thicker. i have a nagi dhol and skin as well and did this and it worked like a charm. lemme know if this works.
