Exclamation Thili Speed

This may sound stupid but when i play a certain chaal or bhangra or any beat in general, i cant seem to play faster than a certain speed, and i've seen people play at outrageous speeds.

Many songs i cant keep up with b/c i cant hit the thili side quickly enough enough times. I've tried different thili grips and even where i hold the thili. (middle as opposed to top) but not helping.

If i go all out and try to play really fast, i start out ok, but then i start getting sloppy, missing the treble side of the dhol completely (haha)

anyway, any help is good.

Red face Practice x 3

Thanks Dholi D, I knew that that was ultimately gonna be the answer, haha, i do practice, but still, its like i cant play faster. But still, do you have any tips for blooming dholis? like, hold the thili like this or hit the treble side like this...?

I play while listening to my ipod, so i made this play list on itunes which has songs that i can beat my drum to. I try to play the whole song through without messups and stuff like that. just saying

thanks for the advice though!
