i guess it all comes down to sound and preference....i prefer the remos better than the GBC's just because the remos have that high frequency tone to them.....but once agian its all on what sound you prefer.
i have two dhols, one with a gbc and one with a remo. i usually use the dhol w/ the gbc for parties and weddings, and i use the dhol w/ the remo for stage performances.
