When I study for exams and what not, I first get my binder organized at home - make sure I have all my notes/tests/quizzes/assignments and everything else from through out the semester. Then I head off to the library at about 9-10 am because at home there are tons of distractions - people, tv, computer, Wii, stereo etc. Always bring tons of food with you so that you don't feel compelled to go on lengthy "breaks" lol. And by food I don't mean candy, chips, cookies that sort of thing - pack real meals. Then study till about 6-7 pm or so. As boring as it may be, there really are no shortcuts when it comes to studying. I like to bring music with me because it helps when I study. I personally find studying with other people to be a distraction so perhaps consider that. Also, something else that I do that helps quite a bit I find, I record some of my notes onto my iPod so I can listen to them when I'm on the train or the bus or whatever. This especially helps for some classes where memorization is required (biology and chemistry are what I usually do this for). And the biggest thing, allow yourself enough time to study. Don't think 2-3 days is enough to review an entire course. Of course it depends on how you've been doing in that class throughout the semester, if you've been keeping up with homework, how well you understand the material etc. but generally I like to keep at least 1 week per course. Hope that helps
