PS3 costs a bomb I'm tryna convince my dad to get one for blu ray (yeah right, its just for my gaming entertainment really) I heard that you cant play 2 player on the racing games on PS3 except on multiplayer via a network. Is that true?

yeah depends on the game but the majority of u can play 2v2 offline..mind u, there's not much decent driving games out yet, that will be until Gran Turismo 5 comes out..that game looks absolutely mad.
