1) When you were growing up, were you good or mischievous?
Hmm, I’d probably say I was mischievous, like most kids growing up. I suppose it’s all part of maturing – when you’re told not to do something, your rational side tends to do the opposite, although… when I was good, I was good; when I was bad, I was better! Haha
2) Name two cities in the world you like most & why?
I’d say London and Dubai.
London, because I was born and bred here. Being raised in London has had a large impact on my up bringing; it’s a big part of who I am. A lot of my friends would say that I can be more of a tourist than a lot of overseas folks, pointing out landmarks and taking random photos!
Dubai is most definitely one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. I was fortunate enough to go out there to Dj, and have taken away memories that will last forever. If you’ve been you’ll know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t, you need to experience it. Watching the sunrise and fall… Paradise…
3) Your Favourite 3 albums?
Although I try and listen to as much of a variety of music as I can, my favourite 3 albums have got to be:
Donnel Jones - Where I Wana Be Joe - Joe Nelly – Country Grammar
I must admit, I’m a sucker for a slow jam. 2006 – Its a slow jam summer!
4) Name your Top 3 celebrity women/men?
P.Diddy – For his rise to the top. Pharell – For his ambitious attitude and his music-making genius. Russell Simons – For his entrepreneurship .
5) 3 positive aspects about you?
I endeavour to be the best that I can in everything I put my mind to; whether its sport, study or work, I always put 110% into it. If you don’t enjoy doing something, don’t do it; if you’re doing it, do it to the best of your ability. You’ll reap the rewards at the end.
I work hard… and play harder. I have this attitude that you should always balance your life 50/50. Work hard no doubt, but always leave time to just sit back and kick it from time to time. Manage your time efficiently.
I’m down to earth and real humble. It means a whole bunch to me when people appreciate what I do, but its important for me to stay grounded and to keep making y’all that believed in me from the beginning proud.
6) 3 negative aspects about you?
I’ll leave that for those close to me to decide! Haha
7) Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by lots of things; difference, creativity, success, respect, and individuality to name but a few.
8) At present, which artists do you admire?
Music has an outstanding impact on society, and to me P.Diddy/Jay Z/Russell Simons are exceptional examples of today’s positive role models for both the young generation, as well as those up and coming entrepreneurs.
9) Most memorable moment in your career so far?
Joining Def Jam UK. I’m part of an organisation dedicated to putting hot music out there – whether its via existing well established platinum selling artists, new artists or simply through dj’s - it don’t get no bigger or better then Def Jam.
10) Who would you like to be trapped on a dessert island with?
I wouldn’t like to be trapped on a desert island, period!
11) If you were going into the Big Brother house what 3 essential items would you take in.
My phone – I don’t think I’d manage a day without my phone. My iPod – we all need music to bump to. A reminder of my close family and friends. I’m nothing without them!
12) If you could change one thing about yourself what would that be and why?
Nothing. I’m grateful for everything God’s given me. I don’t think I’m in a position to complain considering the fact that there are far worse-off people then me out there.
I’m blessed by the man upstairs – something I never take for granted.
13) Describe yourself in three words?
Creative, innovative, honest.
14) What did you want to grow up to be as a child?
A Success. From the very beginning I’ve aimed for the top, and I don’t think that’s about to change any time soon. It’s a dream to me to make a difference or to inspire people in anyway possible.
I believe in order to be a success, you should focus on your passions, rather than on society's expectations. Just try to do what you truly believe in.
LIVE IN YOUR OWN WORLD - I LIVE IN SMOOVS WORLD.
