1) When you were growing up, were you good or mischievous?
Good! Most of the time…
2) Name two countries in the world you like most & why?
I like the UK because it’s the country I was born and still live and I like India, the country of my parents, because there is always so much to see, learn and do there.
3) Your Favourite 3 albums?
Survival – Bob Marley H.I.M – Burning Spear Time For Change – API (why not!)
4) Name your Top 3 celebrity women/men?
Bob Geldof, Bono & Jennifer Lopez.
5) 3 positive aspects about you?
Hard working, Always ready to help anyone with anything (if possible) and very organised and focused wanting to give my best to everything I do.
6) 3 negative aspects about you?
Bad eater, Bad temper (if pushed), Bad memory (which is a good thing sometimes!)
7) Who or what inspires you?
People, life and music inspire me.
8) At present, which artists do you admire?
I admire Dalvinder Singh as he is a very talented young local singer / songwriter that performs with his live band and doesn’t change his music according to the scene. He is very respectful and retains values that others have lost and is in the music business for the right reasons. I also admire an Asian female singer called Lady Ru who is from the USA and is featured on my new album. She has a fantastic vocal range and is by far the best Asian female vocalist that I have come across. We need more Asian female artists on the scene! 9) Most memorable moment in your career so far?
There have been so many special moments in my career from touring India, meeting the president and Sonia Gandhi, touring Japan, charity work and seeing the difference it makes……it was memorable working in Kingston Jamaica for the first time on my first album in 1992 at Bob Marley Studios ‘Tuff Gong’.
10) Who would you like to be trapped on a dessert island with?
My wife and kids as I don’t see them enough!
11) If you were going into the Big Brother house what 3 essential items would you take in.
I have been asked to go on Celebrity Big Brother but I think it’s a load of crap so I said no. If I was to ever go on I would take….My CD collection, some Indian food and a bag of special herbs (to cook the food with of course!)
12) If you could change one thing about yourself what would that be and why?
I would like to put on more weight but never seem to be able to.
13) Describe yourself in three words?
What you see………..….(is what you get!)
14) What did you want to grow up to be as a child?
I wanted to be involved with sport. Everyone who knew me back then could tell you that I was always running or jumping; I was in every sports team at school and joined sports clubs after school. I wanted to teach sport and use to go back to school after leaving to help teach the younger kids. I would still like to teach and I still think that it’s important that we are all involved with some form of sport in our lives regardless of age or lifestyle.
