Music star's anger after jewellery stolen

This is the first picture of £60,000 worth of jewellery owned by Asian music star Johnny Kalsi that went missing from a bank vault. (picture on the right)

Mr Kalsi, leader of drum band the Dhol Foundation, has told of his frustration with the Natwest branch, in High Street, Feltham, after discovering the family heirlooms had vanished.

He said: “Hopefully they will learn from it and other people will not suffer like we have.”

Mr Kalsi, of Wood Lane, Isleworth, said his wife Jasbir wore the jewellery at their wedding, and his mother and grandmother, who have both died, also wore it for special occasions.

The drummer - who travelled to Glasgow yesterday to start a two-week tour - believed the thief sent the valuables, which were not covered by his insurance, to a cash for gold scheme and he will never see them again.

A spokeswoman for NatWest said: “We apologise for any distress Mr Kalsi has experienced.”

Anyone with information should contact Hounslow CID on 0208 2476160, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
