Overview: I LOVE this album! The songs switch from pure classic desi bhangra to Eastern sounding beats…so it’s either get time to get on your desi chappals or clubbing sandals girls! PJD uses an excellent variety of instruments from the Dhad, Dhol, Dholki, Sarangi, Harmonium and Tumbi.

Top three Tracks:

1. Tere Ote Dil Agya: Good party track, liking the beat and loving the Lembher vocals. This is one of the few tracks on the bhangra scene where the English vocals are working with the Punjabi beat. The scratching sound goes on a bit, but apart from that a definite dance track for those nights out at the club.

2. Boliyan: Very strong dhol beat leads up to a good chorus, mixed with the sound of the sarangi. You can do your proper desi moves to this track…go on change that light bulb! ;o)

3. Gidhe Wich Tu Nachdi: this song has catchy lyrics, with vocals provided by Gurinder Ginda, mixed with a strong dhol beat and kicking bass. Beat is a bit like ‘Mai Hogaya Sharabi – so you know you can dance along to this one!

Other Tracks:

  1. Intro: liking the intro, nice, short, sweet and simple!
  2. Dhol Janiya: Very desi sounding, old skool style track, with the vocals of Lembher, and a dholki beat.
  3. Punjabi Teri Dhol: This is a brilliant track, which almost made my top 3! Heavily influenced by eastern music, with a desi flavour added by the vocals of Lembher.
  4. Ajaa Nach Le: This is one of those songs that you not only can you dance too, but can sing-a-long too! Uses the Dhol, Dhad and Tumbi.
  5. Dil Varda: Track starts of with a bit of tumbi, brings in the dholki and as the vocals kick in the dhol kicks it too! Although the track starts of slow, it builds up to a wicked bass line; this is one track to keep in the car when you go out cruising!
  6. Lal Doriyan: nice  and easy slow track-  don’t forget to sing along to the ‘ai-oi’s……… ai-oi…!!! :o)
  7. Classic meets Funk (Instrumental): Mix of the Harmonium, Sitar and some bass, overall a good beat that you can move along too!
  8. Punjabi Teri Dhol (Instrumental): Liking the good bass beat.

Thanks PJD for bringing back Lembher with some heavy kick-ass vocals!
